Until We Meet Again! See You Space Cowboy!

Well everyone, with every great story comes a good ending, I know its sad to part ways but, don't cry because its over, smile because it happened, i'm sure that as a loyal reader, you enjoyed this as much as I did, and hey, whose to say that our paths won't cross again someday?

I'm ranting.

What I mean to say is that is was an awesome journey making this project, and I'd like to say that the documentation, and the way its presented, was about as enjoyable as the project itself, I'm very glad that I was able to work with so many talented people in the making of this film, it made me truly happy how fun it really was, it made it feel like it wasn't a project at all.

This is only the beginning of my stories, not the end.

It's been a wild, wild, and fun ride, Thank you for reading, it really means a lot more than you think!

Signing out for the last time

The Sun Sets! An Awesome End To A Really Cool Adventure!

Hey everyone!!!!

Geo here for the second to last post of the ENTIRE PROJECT :(((((

(It was fun while it lasted, but more on that later ;))

Right now though, I'm gonna talk about some real stuff, things that could be better, worse, and how they could be the former, or latter, and the way i'll be doing that is a simple sort of podcast, but I'll leave a (rough) transcript here, just in case you aren't able to follow along.
-How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?
"Our product uses a very normal way of representing social groups and issues, although dark, it is a very normal thing to see people of color discriminated against these days, those issues are then spotlit in our opening, so maybe if it gets recognition, more people will realize the criminal injustices of the law."
-How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?
"Our project engages audiences in the ways that it's a current, relevant, and long-fought battle against discrimination and racism, as far as real media text, i'm not too sure what that means but, we would distribute it freely, not public domain, but under fair use and such, uploading it to youtube, and other social media sites."
-How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
"Well to be quite honest with you, I've known since the beginning that we would do this close to last minute and we'd cut it really close, and we did, (still are actually, at the time of me reading/writing this, the video isn't even done yet) but I think with a lot more effort and ability, we can set up a good schedule next time, and be on track."
-How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?
"A lot of our research was done online, such as genres, lighting, angles, stuff like that, and as far as software and hardware go, we used a lot of LED lights for our filming, although there wasn't much integrated into the actual project that you can see, the behind the scenes was a technological wonderland, DSLR's , colored lights, audio recorders, laptops, things such as that made our difficult time so much easier, even if they weren't present on screen."

So I mean yeah guys, thats it I think for my reflection, it was wonderful working with so many talented people throughout the making of this project and honestly even though it was super stressful, I had a blast making it and I hope all my future projects are as much fun as this one.

Thumbnail (Final)

Hey everyone!!!

Last post for this week :(((((

It's about our thumbnail for this last one. It'll be a mostly fast one, since there's not much to talk about. (unfortunately)
anyways, here's our thumbnail (see its up there ^^^^ I hope you saw it because I made it really big so everyone could see it)

I think the thumbnail really shows the distress in his face and the chaos of the situation, the high angle and the font really bring out the drama, with the font being kind of human and freaky, and the angle displaying him losing life quickly, especially w him on the floor, bleeding and stuff.

Sorry for the short post but, I really don't have a lot more to say, maybe I should make my own blog? maybe not, i'm not sure about it. (although you probably don't care, you're probably just here to look at the project and that's it)

Well everyone, that wraps it up for this Semifinal week of the project, next week will be my FINAL 2 posts, which would be my Creative Critical Reflection (I think?) and the final project, see you guys then on the exciting conclusion of Geo's Awesome Blog Project Adventure!

Shave that boi

Hey everyone!!!

by the title of the post you can probably tell that its another character update, this time its on the other man, bad cop, Chase

Chase is the more aggressive and takes charge over the situation, usually leading Murphy to do stuff he doesn't wanna do, usually making rash, senseless acts of aggression, Murphy being too shy to stop him, or to even try.

Our actor's name was Gianni, he is a man in drama and AMT, he was well fit for the role, needless to say, all he needed was a little bit of facial hair removal, and our director was very quick to shape him up.

After Carlos was done shaping him up, he was suited up in a similar policeman uniform as I was, the exact same one actually, we bought 2 of the same costume.

That's mostly it, he played an aggressive character and he could fit his role well because of his acting skills, that's pretty much the best TL;DR that i can give you.

Stay tuned in for our thumbnail this Saturday! (It'll be the last real real post of the project (besides our CCR) )

SemiFinal Week! (character update) just the one though

Hey everyone!

This is the second to last week of our project.

(Trust me, it hurts me more than you think, now that it's over its going to be pretty boring not updating the blog, but I might start an independent Geo blog just for fun, so keep a lookout for another blog :) )

Now that its the second to last week, we'll talk about the actual filming process (sort of), ill go with who plays what, with the process of the actual way we got the actors to look like what they do in the final version.

So, for this first post, I'll talk about the character that I play, (yes I play a character!, sorry for no explaining it sooner) I play a shy, reluctant cop named Murphy,

To be honest I think the role fits me well, and i'm glad I got to play the part I did, more on the cop though, he is shy and reserved, especially to his partner and team captain, Chase, the more aggressive, senseless, cop, more on him later though.

As for how I got suited up for my role, we just went to party city and got a badge, a "cop top" (I'm very proud of that joke so, sorry not sorry) and a baton, although the baton was for my partner, it was cool to swing around and hit stuff with it.

But yeah, that was about it for me!

I'll update later in the week with more info on the other cop and the thumbnail!!!!
