Boring research for a fun project!

How's it going everybody?

(It's me again, if you couldn't tell)

I'm doing some research on our project, to be more specific though, I mean genre research.

We're doing a crime drama film, (So exciting!!!) mostly centered on police brutality on African Americans, movies like, "Straight outta compton" and "The Shawshank Redemption" really helped bring us inspiration by setting such a dark and moody scene, that also sets the mood for lots of underdog type characters, who are seen being successful in spite of the unfortunate situations that they are presented / placed in, these crime movies are usually very well received, critically and commercially, as seen by the imdb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic scores of "Straight outta compton" and it's large profits, we also took inspiration from the praised "The Sopranos" TV show", it was very highly praised for its portrayal of a made man juggling with his family issues and dealing with his second life in the mob. we decided to take it as inspirations because of its success and critical acclaim.

We're trying to find a good balance between police brutality to see why the police act like they do, and not to portray the police in a negative light, hopefully we find a good medium.

Root for us!

See you around Space Cowboy
